Beginner or advanced, younger or older, The Body Architect offers team and personal training in a friendly and inspiring atmosphere. Our coaches will help you get fit, lose weight, strengthen and tone, increase muscle mass, or prepare for competition with professional coaching. Membership also includes dietary and lifestyle consultations.
As a member, you are constantly supported by our expert personal training coaches. A personalized workout will be created and updated for you every few weeks to meet your fitness level and keep you engaged. Team training, personal training, and group classes guarantee that you’re never left without support, accountability, or the guidance of one of our knowledgeable staff. You will feel different. Exposed wooden beams and brick walls define the fitness area while huge windows look out on panoramic views of Portland, Back Cove, and Mount Washington. Enjoy the vista as you use cardio equipment and free weights.
Downstairs, the “playground” is a high-energy space used for team training, indoor cycling and semi-private personal training. This is where whole body fitness happens.
The roof deck is available for yoga and stretching every day (unless it’s snowing!). After your workout, relax and refresh in our spa-inspired rain showers and comfortable changing rooms.
Meet the Founders
Antonia and Stephen Anderson founded the Body Architect in 1997 under the guiding philosophy of mind body fitness, and with the shared goal of creating a state-of-the-art facility for people who want a unique fitness experience.
Inspired by their experiences in physical fitness, travel and design, Stephen and Antonia created a space that is beautiful and motivating, where members can concentrate purely on fitness and wellness.
